PREAMPLIFIERS

PREAMPLIFIERS

A preamplifier, also known as a preamp, is an electronic device used to amplify low-level signals from audio sources such as microphones, turntables, and musical instruments. The primary function of a preamp is to boost the signal level to a level that can be processed by other audio equipment, such as power amplifiers or recording devices. Preamplifiers typically include gain controls, frequency equalizers, and various other features to help shape and enhance the sound quality of the audio signal. They are commonly used in recording studios, live performances, and home audio systems.
